No More Pimples
62
There is nothing worse than having pimples especially if you are a teenager. Having zits can ceratinly affect one in many ways. People who suffer from pimples often have low self-esteem and are afraid to socialize. They think that people will ridicule or make fun of them.
Getting rid of pimples is not that easy. First, you need to establish a skin care routine that goes beyond the basic. Second, you have to have the patience to stick to a certain treatment for some time and fight the urge to try on several products all at once. Consistency is the key. When you have pimples, you want to try almost every product in the market that you see. That is pretty normal. The best thing to do is to keep it simple. Whatever you're loading on your face right now, go slow. Sometimes a few zits can turn to millions just because of product overdose. Resist that and you're halfway done with the battle.
1. Find a reliable cleanser.
A good cleanser does more than cleaning. First of, it should be gentle. Avoid cleansers that have beads and exfoliants. When you currently have zits, scrubs are not advisable. You'll just irritate your skin more and make it worse. Find one that has salicylic acid. This substance has antibacterial properties and helps soothe the skin.
2.Use an astringent with licorice extract.
There are plenty of astringents and toners in the market. Actually I've tried them all. But I found that among them, the one with licorice extracts is the most effective way to stop the zits and stop new ones from emerging. Astringent gets rid of the excess oil on your face too. However, just use this during the evenings. Applying astringent on your face while the sun is up can do great damage to the skin.
3. Wear a light sunblock.
Never underestimate the power of sun protection. A skin with pimples is irritated enough. The harmful rays of the sun can irritate it further. Never leave the house without sunscreen. It will prevent scars from getting dark and will keep you from getting unsightly sunspots.
4. Find a reliable concealer.
The treatment of pimples may take a few weeks. While you're in the process of treatment, it will do wonders on your mood if you have a magic wand that can make your spots less visible. Find a shade that is a shade darker than your skin tone. Apply it sparingly and evenly using your ring finger. Dab and pat lightly.
5. Find a non-irritating compact powder or foundation.
In addition to your concealer, you'll benefit a lot with the use of some coverage. There are plenty of mineral make up nowadays that can do just that. They are lighter and less dense compared to traditional makeups. Also, change your brush and sponges regularly. Or keep them clean.
6. Try Olive soap.
I have a phobia when it comes to bar soaps as my face become dry and tight when I use them. Everything changed when I tried olive soap. Olive soaps contain olive oil that acts as a moisturizer. It keeps the skin soft and smooth and less prone to dryness.
7. Exfoliate using Papaya soaps.
When you notice that you're skin is already healing, you can use natural exfoliants such as papaya extract. Using papaya soap in the evening helps get rid of your old skin, allowing new, softer skin to come through. It can be a bit drying though so make sure to apply an unscented moisturizer after wash.
